External USB 3.0 Seagate Backup Plus 3TB or 4TB Hard Drive are not getting detected in My Computer

Instructions to ensure the following:

  1. Ensure that other External HDD are getting detected on the USB port 
  2. Run a diagnostic on the USB port to ensure that the ports are working fine 
  3. Call Seagate replacement of Drive if required
