Seagate External 3TB / 4TB HDD (USB3.0) fails to get detected in My Computer

Seagate has determined that it is an issue with the Firmware of the USB 3.0 Seagate Backup Plus 3TB and 4TB Hard Drive.

Instructions to ensure the following:

  1. Ensure that other External HDD are getting detected on the USB port 
  2. Run a diagnostic on the USB port to ensure that the ports are working fine 
  3. Call Seagate replacement of Drive if required
